They are extraordinarily demanding grapes in terms of viticulture and oenology. At Quinta do Rol, you will encounter in its edapho-climatic characteristics (moderate temperatures, low thermal amplitudes, well drained soils) the necessary conditions for expressing all of its potential, confirming its reputation for quality wines and that it is possible to produce great quality Pinot’s in Portugal.
This wine aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, both new and used, and for 6 months in the bottle.
Light red in color, its aroma is complex with floral (violets) notes, fruity (strawberry, raspberry and cherry), earthy (soil, mushrooms) and spices, in a mixture of perfectly integrated wood.
On the palate it is complex, velvety, perfectly structured with a long ending.
It should be accompanied by fatty fish and cold meats.
